" I have known Malcolm Drinkwater for the past 20 years. His writings and photographic records are a carefully compiled document of the rich goldfields history. In recent years Malcolm and Daphne have developed a tourist mine and museum on their property at Hill End. I inspected it recently and the quality of the display and the enormous effort put into the construction of the mine and associated infrastructure is a tribute to Malcolm and Daphne's determination and dedication to preserving and displaying Australian History.......
A world standard, award winning, educational facility."
Peter Andren, Member for Calare.
" I am delighted to endorse History Hill, Malcolm and Daphne's super goldfield educational facility at Hill End. A large collection of genuine historic gold mining equipment and goldfield relics, rustic buildings and a walk in - climb out mine set the scene for Malcolm and Daphne's entertaining and thought provoking presentations, appreciated by students and people of all ages."
